PADI IDC COURSE
Since the beginning, the TOPDIVE group has invested in leisure diving operated in a professional way. Our fun dives intend to develop divers’ interest in undersea flora and fauna, through dive site discovery. We consider PADI to be the most advanced and innovative method of scuba diving instruction, with the philosophy of having fun while learning.
PADI has awarded TOPDIVE with the highest teaching center level, the 5* Instructor Development Course center. We would like to share our experience with you. If you are thinking of a career in teaching scuba diving, now or in the near future, or simply for the pleasure of advancement, TOPDIVE proposes courses for Assistant-Instructor and Instructor.
Assistant-Instructor Course
Introduction
Just prior to the PADI Instructor (OWSI) certification, the assistant-instructor certification is a prerequisite to the scuba instructor level. With strong prerogatives, the Assistant-instructor level is your first step into scuba teaching, before proceeding to OWSI.
Pre-requisites
A medical certificate, less than a year old
A copy of your diver certifications
A copy of your primary care certificate (including CPR), less than two years old
Duration
Two sessions in two TOPDIVE teaching facilities are scheduled : Topdive Tahiti and Topdive Moorea. The course is scheduled on four consecutive Saturdays. The session dates appear at the end of the page.
You will be able to participate in several practical and theoretical workshops during training.

Training materials for the course
Training materials (manual, DVD, etc.) are not included in the price above. They are, however, all mandatory for the course completion.
You can order them directly from all TOPDIVE centers.
Price: 55 000 FCP, delivery included.
Training staff
All TOPDIVE PADI IDC Staff instructor trainers will take care of your training. They will be supported by Frédéric DESPOIX, PADI Course Director n°924182, who works with TOPDIVE and several other 5* IDC centers in France.

Instructor Course
Introduction
Teaching, guiding and organizing your passion everywhere in the world, a job of strong encounters and exchanges with nature. With physical competences and in-depth theoretical knowledge, the PADI instructor is a professional, recognized in the entire world.
Pre-requisites
A medical certificate, less than a year old
A copy of your diver certifications
A copy of your primary care certificate (including CPR), less than two years old
Duration
The course is organised at our Tahiti diving center in the InterContinental Tahiti Resort, in two different ways :
- Fixed course date , from Saturday March 26 until Thursday March 31, 2011
- Evening and weekend course, from Monday March 21 until Thursday March 31, 2011
You will participate in several practical and theoretical workshops during training.
The PADI/EFR Emergency First Responsable instructor course is scheduled Sunday April 3, 2011l. The Nitrox instructor specialty course is proposed in the evening.
The instructor examination IE will take place on Friday April 1 and Saturday April 2, 2011.
