The Ma'o mauri (Tahitian name for the Blacktip shark) can reach a length of 2 meters (6 to 7 feet) but the average is about 1,60 meters (5 feet), they travel in schools of a dozen animals and are known for their calm territorial behavior.
Hunting habits are predominantly nocturnal. He feeds on small fish, octopi and sometimes small sea birds.
